ParentsWe are always keen to welcome new families to the school and parents who take an active role in their children's learning. We like to develop strong home/school partnerships with all parents and not just those that are involved in fund raising or hearing their children read. Many parents come into school on a voluntary basis to support activities within the classroom PTFA The PTFA support the school in many ways – helping in classrooms, with clubs, swimming, sports events and fundraising. Throughout 2004/05 the PTFA and Swimming Pool Committee have once again given generously of their time enabling many 'extras' to be enjoyed by the children including:- helping with the cost of digital projectors (to enable PC programmes to be displayed on class whiteboards), Martin the Puppet Man, Christmas entertainment, Library books, Shrovetide Carnival and Playhouse. Many thanks to all those who helped in any way. The school could not function as it does without your support.
Learning with your child We will gradually be adding links to web sites that either have resources that the children can use for homework and project work, or sites that we find that are fun as well as educational. These sites will always be free to use and have been checked out first by ourselves. Learning to Touch Type The BBC has a great web site that some of the children are starting to use in school. It can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/typing/
